Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day! If you’re still single, don’t worry guys. There are enough things to do when single on this day.
I live by this motto: Put yourself at the top of your to-do list every single day and the rest will fall into place!
Besides eating chocolate and drinking wine on Valentine’s Day, I like to try new things. And today, I suddenly had the idea to create a Valentine’s Day inspired make-up look. I went for nude colors on my eyes & lips and a beautiful contour and highlight! I will explain which products I used for the full make-up glam.
Make-up base
If you’re a real beauty guru, you should know that wearing primer is a must. Not only does a primer create a smooth make-up look but it also stays on all day. A primer should be your bestie and there’s no way you should ghost it. After applying my primer from Embryolisse, it’s time to put on some foundation. For foundation I used the Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation by Laura Mercier. I also use concealer under my eyes in a triangle shape and my T-zone. I use the multi-use concealer by Maybelline in the shade Fair. For my brows I used Eyebrow Cake Powder in the shade ECP05 Brunette by NYX. I like to keep my brows natural so I only used the brow gel.
Eyes
I used my trustworthy Urban Decay Heat palette. I started off by mixing the shades ‘sauced’ and ‘low blow’ all over my eyelid. A little shimmer for Valentine’s Day doesn’t hurt nobody. So, I used the colors ‘lumbre’ and ‘scorched’ to create a romantic look. I applied both colors on the outer corner of my eyelid and in the crease. As a finishing touch, I used some mascara. The one and only Better than sex by Too Faced. I can’t live without it!
Contour & Highlighter
I live for a good contour and highlight, especially for special occasions like a party or a date night. I like to keep it natural because I don’t like it when you see all the layers on my face. I always apply my contour first. I used a small brush to shape it. After that, I go in with a larger brush to blend out the remaining powder. If you like a natural look, just as I do, it’s good to keep blending for a while. I like to mix two contour shades. I’ve used the Contour Harmony Matte by MAC with my small brush. This shade is a little too light for me, so on top of that I’ve used the Hoola Bronzer by Benefit.
I apply my highlighter on the highest point of my cheekbones, on the bridge of my nose, just at the outer corner of my eyebrows and a little bit on my cupid bow. I live by the highlighter W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow.
There’s one highlighter I really want to try out and that’s the Becca highlighter in the shade Champagne Pop. If you’ve already used it or are using it at the moment, let me know what you think of this one!
Lips
The last step and also my favorite one! Finishing off the look with a nude lipstick. Take your time to put on lipstick because you don’t want to mess it up. To create the perfect nude lips I used Rouge Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. For Valentine’s Day, I would recommend a red lipstick. The reason why I don’t wear one is because I don’t think it’s beautiful on me. If you’re not into red lipstick as well, I would also recommend the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk collection. It comes with a lipstick, a lipliner and two lip glosses in nude colors.
To finish off the whole make-up look, I used the fixing spray by MAC. The fixing spray will keep your make-up look lasting for the whole day and night.
I hope you enjoyed this Valentine’s Day Inspired make-up look! Want me to create more make-up looks? Let me know in the comments and I will bring a MUA guest with me next time!
